Who’s actually winning

Not one of these numbers is stored. Every match was replayed and every result re-derived from the ORK network’s signature to build this page — check it yourself. A leaderboard held in a database is the house’s word about who is winning, and a database can be edited.

No matches have been sealed yet. Run one and this fills in.

how points work, and why they can’t be farmed

Win 10, second 6, third 3, and 1 just for turning up. Racing only yourself earns nothing.

why?

10 for a win, 6 for second, 3 for third, and 1 for finishing. Everyone in the field scores, because an entrant doesn’t choose the heat it was drawn into — you earn while offline, from matches other people seal.

Two rules stop that being a printing press, and both live in the replay rather than in this website — so a verifier computes the same standings we show, and if we ever disagreed, the ledger would be right and we would be wrong:

  • a field owned by one person pays nothing — racing yourself is free and worthless
  • a Sashling scores from at most 40 matches a day, which bounds two colluding accounts however many identities are behind the field
